Canoe-Rafting on Dâmbovița river and hiking on Piatra Dragoslavelor ridge

Canoe-Rafting is a spectacular and exciting adventure sport, practiced with 2 pers capacity inflatable canoes, giving us the opportunity to approach small rivers, as the mountain sector of Dambovita. The slow speed helps you to admire the spectacular atmosphere of Dambovita narrow gorge, as you float downstream.

Day 1. Bucharest - Rucar

Drive from Bucharest towards the mountains, to Podu Dambovitei village on Dambovita river. Canoe-Rafting on Dambovita, following the narrow gorge and the downstream sector for 12km (3hrs).

Relax and calm your senses, being surrounded by the spectacular sector of Dambovita river, close to the limestone majestic Piatra Craiului mountains. Dinner and accommodation at a local 3* B&B.

Day 2. Rucar - Bucharest

Hiking on Piatra Dragoslavelor ridge. A solitary limestone massif that attracts one’s view through its majesty. The rocky buttress that contrasts with the heavy and bare ridge of the Leaota Mountains, of which it is a part, detached visibly from the rest of surrounding mountains, thus offering superb views towards them. The route doesn’t present great difficulties, but it surprises with its complexity and visual satisfaction, especially on days with good visibility

It takes 6 hrs for a round trip, then we take a brief break before driving back to Bucharest. The town at the foot, Dragoslavele, pleasantly surprises with authentic, traditional houses, superb examples of New-Romanian architecture, scattered along the main street.

Arrive to Bucharest by evening.
